The decision yesterday by the Federal Reserve’s Federal Open Market Committee not to raise the federal funds rate for the 18th straight time indicated that the Federal Reserve recognizes the value of the housing economy to the national economy as a whole.

With the recent 100 degree plus temperatures, I think it's safe to say we've finally entered the dog days of summer. It's almost as hot outside as Columbia's real estate market! With continuing sales increases over last year, the Midlands are outpacing glamourous markets such as Hilton Head!
