Save Money by Saving on Electricity Usage in Your Home!

Local electric companies will provide on monthly bills a chart showing usage trends. While that information is nice to know, where can you save on electric usage and cut your bills? Try starting with the little stuff, referred to as “Voltage Vampires” in this video.
When the seasons change, be sure to check the changing needs of your house to ensure you won’t have any wasted wattage. Check and change your air filters on the HVAC monthly (or at a minimum, quarterly), inspect windows and doors for leaky airflows and major drafts and unplug any unnecessary appliances when they are not in use.
