About the Cow Lady

What motivates Kathy?  Adventure, of Course.

Unlike many of her fellow Realtors, Kathy thrives on adrenaline.  She lives for the thrill of her next adventure.  “I can’t remember a time that I didn’t like heart-pounding excitement,” she grins a knowing smile.

Kathy has been known to take on any challenge.  “One year, I decided I was going to attend the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta - but as a pilot.”  True to her word, Kathy flew in “The Big One,” as it is referred to by Balloonists in 1998.  “Being a brand new pilot in the sky with 900 other balloons was definitely a thrill.  The camaraderie and sense of fun added so much to the experience as well.”

Kathy is also known for forging her own way.  As a teen growing up in St. Louis, there weren’t many girls interested in playing hockey.  Kathy has always loved the sport and especially the St. Louis Blues. “Most people think of bench-clearing brawls when they hear hockey, but not me.  It’s the challenge of strategy, speed and skill all rolled into one.”
She was told that at age 16, she wouldn’t be able to play hockey.  There wasn’t a girls’ league and the boys were too big for her to play against.  With the support of her Mother, Kathy made her way into the boys’ league and held her own.

“It wasn’t easy, let me tell you.  But it taught me a lot about the benefits of a good work ethic.  I had to develop my skill in order to compete with these guys,” she says with conviction.

“It also taught me about team dynamics.  The fellas on my team really believed in me and stood behind me.  Together, we went all the way to the final game of the playoffs.  I believe we had a victory, although it didn’t show up on the scoreboard.”

Today, Kathy is still on the ice.  She plays hockey from time to time with Scott and their friends.  However, she works harder on her Lutz than a slapshot these days.  Kathy is honing her figure skating skills.  “I’ve got a coach and I’ve been in a few shows,” she beams.

Perhaps Kathy won’t become the next Dorothy Hamill, but she uses what she’s learned in her adventures to help her clients.  Kathy isn’t afraid to work hard with her Russell & Jeffcoat team to get the best results.  Just like the goals she has accomplished in her personal life, she will set the goal of selling or helping you purchase your home as her own and work diligently to make it happen.  Call or email her today to discover the “Uncommon Results” for yourself.
